A Next Level Sneaker Collab with BOA®

“Since the beginning, [ARKK co-founder] Thomas and I always wanted to bring in more technology,” says ARKK Creative Director Kasper Høj Rasmussen, “but before we were ready to collaborate with bigger players in the world of footwear, we had to focus on learning the sneaker game and establishing our own identity and design DNA.” Now, three years later, explains Rasmussen, “we have a lot more confidence and we know the kinds of partners we want to team up with.”

With the incorporation of the Boa® closure system, says Rasmussen, “we were able to give the Hypertrex not only an element of practical, high-quality tech, but also add an aesthetic dimension that fits perfectly in line with the ARKK DNA.” The Boa® system featured on the Hypertrex, says Rasmussen, “is such clean, functional design and,” he adds, “you gotta love that beautiful clicking sound every time you lace up.” When asked whether or not this new ARKK + Boa® collaboration signals more sneaker tech collabs in ARKK’s future, Rasmussen says, “yeah, definitely, this is just the beginning.”
