JOB: PR Manager

ARKK Copenhagen is looking for an experienced PR Manager

We are looking for a talented and experienced Public Relations Manager to join our growing Marketing and Communications team at ARKK Copenhagen. The role will report into the Chief Communications Officer and will be fully responsible for all areas of PR including events, press kits, press releases and achieving earned advocacy across media, digital influencers and ambassadors. ARKK Copenhagen’s passion and mission is to put our fashion-oriented, Nordic design sneakers on the world map. Since the release of the Raven silhouette in 2014, ARKK Copenhagen has grown exponentially and now drops four innovative collections per year in more than 37 countries around the world.

Your duties will include:

  • Proactively seeking opportunities for ARKK Copenhagen’s brand related news, collections and key product releases to targeted media, primarily global sneaker, streetwear and fashion medias
  • Having regular contact with media to create and maintain rapport with personnel including stylists, fashion/features editors at magazines, news editors and web editors at a global level
  • Curating media editorial calendars and collecting top relevant media stories (including trending social stories) and weekly news roundups to identify ongoing story opportunities for ARKK
  • Working closely with the wider Marketing team to develop content for strategic PR plans around specific campaigns to medias
  • Organising and attending promotional events such as press conferences, press days, fashion events, sneaker events, showroom visits and related happenings in the industry
  • Managing our press kit and creating a standard template to outline the process of issuing press releases across our internal departments and to our partners for global distribution
  • Leading and developing our influencer programs, including the Visual Elite of ARKK consisting of managing a network content creators and ambassadors
  • Researching, identifying and connecting with creators/influencers for to build informal and formal relationships with that could lead to potential collaborations, content development, ambassadorship, event coverage (ie: store openings, fashion week parties etc)
  • Working with the marketing team on collaborations to assist with influencer / content creator social media strategy goals, recommendations, content and ideas
  • Project managing and executing ARKK influencer campaigns from end to end, including gifting experiences, delivery and following up on marketing objectives
  • Measuring the success of campaigns, providing monthly and post-campaign reports as required to align to overall KPI’s of driving brand sales and growth
  • Managing the development and optimization of blogger and influencer databases, outreach and following strategies using appropriate tools
  • Planning, writing and producing press releases, Visual Elite of ARKK campaign guidelines, collaboration deals etc
  • Dealing with ongoing enquiries from the public, press and related organisations about samples, images, press kits and collection information
  • Reporting on media coverage and analyzing media coverage, including impressions, reach, advertising value etc  
  • Advise Marketing and Communications Team as well as Design Team on latest trends in the industry, newsworthy stories and best practices to filter into product ideation and improve content for engagement

Your qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ of relevant PR experience
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Journalism, Communications or other relevant fields
  • A proven background in driving results (earned advocacy) through PR is essential (either in-house or agency)
  • Existing connections with the fashion / sneakers / streetwear scene is a must (experience working at a fashion publication or other media outlet is a plus)
  • Extensive experience writing press releases, story pitches and have a grasp of journalism basics including proper news release formats
  • Background working with ambassadors/celebrities/content creators
  • Experience in writing and telling stories that captivate an audience
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with developing campaigns across multi functional teams
  • Excellent leadership, management and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, highly organized and can meet deadlines in a timely manner
